Suggestions on Starting Your
Life Journey
Carolyn Wright-Hérard, M.A.
Examining personal or professional
goals can be a daunting task, so it is important to start by simplifying
things by taking a personal inventory of your wants and goals.
Know you want change, or a
specific outcome, but don’t know how to get there? Forget about your
problem for a little while, and just create some good “flow” and change
in your life with one or more of these simple activities:
-
Do a simple task like cleaning
out a closet or drawer and get rid of things that are taking up room
in your life. Make room for new
and better things.
-
Take an inventory of your
resources. Examine who in your circle could create a good
networking tool for your. People are in your life for a
reason.
-
Along with emotional and mental
wellbeing, taking care of your physical self is equally as
important. Start simple and go for a walk, then gradually
implement a workout regimen. By sticking with the plan, shows
your potential for commitment to change. This also shows that
you will be evolving as a person.....your life will begin to change.
-
Show a sense of community and
do something that is self-less. The rewards cannot be bought!
